Lemme get this down to Hobbit height...

You have NO IDEA how perversely thrilled I am that the gentleman who coined the phrase "battered chapped pussy" is doing the voice lead in a kid's film. Shit, I'd see a DreamWorks abortion in a theater just for that. The fact that it's Pixar/Bird is just gravy.

"Loretta Swit had a bush you could hide a VCR in... Is this thing still on?"

And what's great about Oswalt in RATATOUILLE is that he's pretty perfect for the role. I expected him to do a good job- Pixar doesn't cast for the poster, after all- but his voice is ideal for the character. The same could be said for all the actors in the film, some recognizable, some less so. And even when they do cast a big name (there's one in RATATOUILLE, and a doozy at that) it means a lot more than the old Dreamworks game of "what other names can we get?"
